Ann is an attorney (and former nurse) with several decades of experience in health law and compliance. For 16 years, Ann was a legal and compliance executive for two large health systems and a global medical supply and device manufacturer and distributor. For the remainder of her legal career, Ann has worked with healthcare clients, including DME Providers, medical device companies, hospitals, physicians, laboratories, and pharmaceutical clients, on regulatory and other issues.
She serves on the boards of numerous civic and health organizations including Roosevelt University, the Medical Affairs Professional Society, and the Partnership for a Connected Illinois/Illinois Telehealth Initiative, and is a frequent public speaker and university lecturer on issues related to health law and compliance.

Personal:
I am married to a wonderful man named Alex de Frise; we manage to get along very well despite the fact that I am a Packer fan and he is a Bears fan. We married on the beach in the Bahamas in April 2023. I was widowed in 2017 after being married for about 26 years to another lovely human and the father of my two adult sons, Joe and James. We all live on the north side of the city in Chicago. Alex and I have a rescue dog - a hound mix - named Lucy. Outside of work, we do many things including playing cards and watching a lot of Cubs baseball and NFL football.
